REMIX Track 4: January 22-23, 2018

Actively Learn is a free digital reading platform for ELA, Science, and Social Studies. Actively Learn includes features that engage students. Some of these features include: text-to-speech, dictionary, translation, chunking, text formatting, annotation, discussion, formative assessments, large catalog, and media integration. Join us and upgrade your pedagogy with Actively Learn. The Actively Learn session will begin with participants exploring Actively Learn from the perspective of a student enrolled in a class. Teachers will read a brief blog post that describes the features that are included in the free version of Actively Learn. As teachers actively read the text, they will explore and test all of the features Actively Learn has to offer. This time of exploration will give them a chance to process the implications Actively Learn could have on their pedagogy. After the exploration activity, we will spend time discussing their first impressions of Actively Learn, their reactions, and thoughts of how they could utilize Actively Learn.
